WORT-FM is a volunteer-run, community radio station in Madison, Wisconsin. I produce a weekly hour-long live talk show called The Monday Eight o'Clock Buzz. My responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and preparing three interviews each week
- Generating interview ideas and identifying potential guests
- Recruiting guests for the show and handling all guest communications
- Collecting photographs and video relevant to specific interviews
- Providing schedule for each upcoming show to show host
- Writing detailed summaries of each interview
- Posting interview audio, interview descriptions, and related photos and videos on the WORT website and social media
- Interviewing guests on subjects about which I have expertise
- Running the audio control board when the regular engineer is out
- Hosting the show when the regular host is out
- Using SoundCloud, WordPress and Facebook for posting
